Following is the format of Legal Notice for Cheque bounce or heque dishonour. 

Legal Notice for Cheque Dishonour format

 Subject: LEGAL NOTICE

 

Respected Sir,  

      

I am directed by my client Habib Butt son of Nabeel Butt resident of House No. 1, Street No. 4, Mohallah Shah Chan Chiragh, Rawalpindi to serve you  with the instant legal notice:-

 

 

1.            That on 06-01-2021, you purchased a Car Toyota Corolla, Registration No. RIG-1211223, Colour: Black, Model: 2009, Engine No. NE-121211, Chassis No. 4545441 from my client against sale consideration of Rs. 950,000/- (Rupees  Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand only).  The above mentioned car and all the original documents were handed over to you at the spot. Against the purchase price, you issued a cheque No. 00121111,  of dated 06-01-2021, amounting to Rs. 950,000/- (Rupees  Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand only), Bank Al-Habib, Marrir Hassan Branch, Rawalpindi  to my client. In this regard, an agreement dated 06-01-2021 was also executed between you and my client. (copy of agreement is annexed)  

 

2.            That on the very next  day i.e on 07-01-2021, my client presented the above-stated cheque in Bank Al-Habib, Marrir Hassan Branch, Rawalpindi  to encashment but same was got dishonoured on its presentation.

 

3.            That after the cheque was dishonoured, my client telephonically requested you to pay him Rs. 950,000/- (Rupees Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand only) but you requested my client to grant 2 days for payment of the above said amount. After 02 days, you were again approached by my client for above said amount, but you started making lame excuses and delaying the matter on one pretext or the other.

 

4.            That you have not paid the above said amount to my client till today, which shows that you had issued the above said cheque dishonestly to my client which on presentation got dishonoured.   

                       

Through this legal notice, you are hereby directed to pay Rs. 950,000/- (Rupees Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand only) to my  client  within 15 days after receipt of this legal notice failing which my client shall be at liberty to initiate criminal as well as Civil proceedings against you at your own risk and costs.

 

Note: A copy of this legal notice is retained in my office for further necessary legal action and proceedings.
